Location: Ireland (Hybrid / Dublin travel)

We have a new opening with a long-established company based in Dublin who have created a new residential solar division delivering high-quality residential and commercial solar PV solutions across Ireland. With a strong reputation for customer service, technical excellence, and sustainable energy solutions, they are continuing to expand their operations to meet growing market demand. We are seeking an experienced Senior Solar Technical Lead to provide technical leadership across our solar operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest engineering standards.

The Opportunity

The successful candidate will provide technical leadership for the company's new residential solar division, helping to establish the technical standards, systems and processes as the business scales.

Main responsibilities include:

• Technical Lead carrying out residential solar site surveys.
• Assessing roof suitability, orientation, shading and structural considerations.
• Reviewing electrical infrastructure and installation constraints.
• Validating PV system sizing, panel layouts, inverter selection and battery storage configurations.
• Providing technical guidance to installers.
• Developing installation standards and quality assurance processes.
• Ensuring compliance with Irish regulations and industry standards.
• Supporting the growth of the new solar division.
• Working with suppliers on technical product evaluations.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be an experienced renewable energy professional with significant hands on experience delivering solar projects in Ireland.

Essential Experience

• Minimum 3-5 years' experience within the solar industry.
• Degree or Higher Diploma in:
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Renewable Energy
  • Building Services Engineering
  • Energy Engineering
  • or equivalent
• Strong technical knowledge of residential and commercial PV systems.
• Experience leading technical teams.
• Experience reviewing and approving PV designs.
• Strong knowledge of Irish electrical regulations.
• Experience with battery storage systems.
• Experience commissioning solar installations.
• Experience working with installers and electricians.
• Full clean Irish driving licence.
