Residential Environmental Health Islington Council
We are seeking an experienced Interim Project Manager to join our Residential Environmental Health team, playing a pivotal role in accelerating fire safety remediation in tall buildings and raising standards across Islington's Private Rented Sector (PRS).
With borough-wide house in multiple occupation (HMO Licensing, the expansion of our selective licensing scheme across 10 wards, new powers under the Renters' Rights Act 2025, and updates to the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS)), this is a unique opportunity to shape how we regulate, enforce, and improve housing conditions across the borough.
At Islington, we believe everyone deserves a safe, well managed home - and you will be instrumental in making that a reality.
You will be part of the Residential Environmental Health team, working alongside officers focused on fire safety regulation and tall building remediation. You will lead and support a range of projects aimed at delivering strong regulatory outcomes and improving housing standards.
You are a confident and solutions-focused professional with a strong track record in project delivery and regulatory environments.
