    As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take a leading role in the commercial delivery of high voltage substation and power infrastructure projects across the Glasgow region, working closely with Project Managers, Engineers and Planning teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme and within budget while maintaining the highest commercial standards.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Oversee full commercial management of high voltage substation and electrical infrastructure projects
    • Prepare and manage budgets, cost plans, BOQs and profit forecasts
    • Lead interim valuations, final accounts and monthly applications including remeasures, variations and dayworks
    • Administer NEC3 contracts and ensure full compliance with contractual obligations
    • Manage subcontractor procurement, valuations, payments and final account agreements
    • Identify commercial risks including material and labour escalations and report to senior management
    • Work closely with Planning Engineers to ensure accurate progress reporting and commercial alignment
    • Chair and contribute to client commercial meetings and provide detailed cost reports to the Project Manager
    • Maintain accurate records and detailed supporting documentation for all commercial activity
    • Negotiate variations and change orders with clients and their representatives
    About You
    • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or a related discipline
    • 5+ years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor on electrical or power projects over £3m in value
    • Experience on high voltage substations, switchgear installations or power transmission projects is highly desirable
    • Strong knowledge of NEC3 contract conditions and commercial management processes
    • Excellent Excel and reporting skills
    • Strong negotiation, communication and stakeholder management ability
    • Commercially astute with a proactive approach to risk management
    • Detail focused with strong record keeping and organisational skills
    • Able to work independently while contributing to a high performing commercial team
