    Salary: £40,000 FTE plus a generous bonus scheme and benefits

    Hours: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week

    Eco2Solar are pleased to announce a new and exciting opportunity to join the UK's largest and most successful Solar PV installer (recently invested in by EON) as a Renewables Electrician, based in Essex. We will help you to develop the skills to future proof your career by installing EV chargers, Solar PV systems, battery storage and innovative products for new build housing developers to meet carbon reduction targets.

    About the role

    The role of the Renewables Electrician offers the right candidate the opportunity to build, develop and grow their career with a highly reputable and growing company. Stay ahead of the latest technology and work with the UK's largest new build solar installer, working in partnership with Eon.

    Working in a safe and controlled environment, installing renewable energy systems for new build housing developers, your mission will be to achieve the highest standard of quality, safety and customer service in low carbon electrical installations.

    As a Renewables Electrician, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient installation of PV systems (inverters and generation meters), accurate and timely submission of paperwork, and compliance with MCS and Health, Safety and Quality standards.

    This is a site based role requiring travel on a daily basis. There will be a requirement for overnight stays as and when required.

    Attention to detail and problem solving skills are essential within this role. The role requires good technological skills and the ability to use Apps to complete certifications and reports.

    Having the ability to work both as part of a team and also take overall responsibility for your personal workload, whilst delivering excellent levels of service is essential. A desire to put our clients' needs first and a thirst to develop your own skills is a key part of fitting into this established team.

    About you

    Previous experience in solar installations and/or domestic new builds is required. It is important that you have:

    • 18th Edition electrical qualifications (BS7671)
    • N/SVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (Building and Structures) OR a completed apprenticeship with AM2

    It would be helpful but not essential if you have:

    • Solar certification (BPEC or City & Guilds) Level 3 Award in the Installation of Small Scale PV Systems
    • CSCS/ECS Card for site works
    • Testing and Inspection
    • Experience in 3 phase installations

    Performance Metrics
    • Solar Pv 2nd fix installation - 2nd fix pre 1st fixed PV installs; installing AC isolators, generation meters and inverter. 45% time spent; daily frequency; achieve 15 standard 2nd fix installs and test and commission over a working week.
    • Completion of electrical certification and forms - Provide electrical installation certificates and other forms on the same day as installation. 25% time spent; weekly frequency; ensure all paperwork completed on day of install and received by electrical QS, measured on percentage.
    • Health and safety capacity - Zero RIDDOR reportable accidents across working sites. 20% time spent; monthly frequency; H&S monthly report.
    • Successful audits - Quality of work within standards; compliant to regulations and good working practices. 10% time spent; monthly frequency; audits reviewed; successful percentage audits.
