Overview: We are recruiting on behalf of a growing commercial renewables company seeking a driven and ambitious Business Development Manager to join their team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in construction, M&E (mechanical and electrical), or facilities management who is looking to break into or grow within the renewable energy sector. Previous experience in Solar PV or energy-efficient lighting is welcome but not essential transferable skills and a consultative sales approach are key.
This is a hybrid role with a mix of home working, office time, and client visits across the North West region.
Key Responsibilities:
Sell technical solutions including commercial Solar PV and low-energy lighting systems
Develop and convert new business opportunities across the commercial sector
Manage relationships with key stakeholders such as end users, consultants, and contractors
Understand client needs and deliver tailored technical proposals
Oversee the full sales process from lead generation to closing deals
Ideal Candidate:
Background in construction, M&E, building services, or FM (facilities management)
Previous B2B or technical sales experience (any relevant sector)
Confident communicator with strong relationship-building skills
A consultative, client-focused sales approach
Self-motivated and able to manage your own diary
Full UK driving licence preferred
What s on Offer:
Base salary of £35,000 £40,000, depending on experience
Uncapped commission realistic OTE of £80,000+
