Infrastructure & Green Economy Credit Risk - Analyst

As a Credit Risk Analyst in the Infrastructure & Green Economy Credit Risk team, you will structure new transactions and manage a portfolio of existing loans and related credit exposures to greenfield and brownfield projects across multiple sectors, including energy, power, renewables, energy transition, emerging green technologies, and transportation assets. You will work closely with senior team members and partner with colleagues across financing, banking, and markets businesses. This role provides an opportunity to enhance your analytical skills on highly structured transactions across a range of industries and countries in a fast-paced and highly competitive environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Interface closely with business teams to develop diligence questions by reviewing contracts, forecasts, budgets, financial statements, construction reports, operating reports, and other materials.
• Use strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify risks and recommend loan structures that appropriately protect the firm's interests in structured transactions.
• Build and maintain financial models to assess the impact of forward-looking risks on key business and transaction drivers.
• Support transaction execution by reviewing and structuring financing and commercial contracts and making recommendations regarding capital structure, exposure levels, and risk ratings.
• Apply corporate finance and accounting expertise to prepare credit memorandums and support credit approval and booking processes.
• Perform portfolio management activities, including analyzing amendment and waiver requests, conducting periodic credit reviews, completing ongoing counterparty and industry credit analysis, monitoring trading limits and credit ratings, and supporting documentation revisions.
• Maintain awareness of all aspects of assigned clients, including industry trends, portfolio performance, covenant compliance, current events, potential risks, and opportunities.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in financial services, consulting, risk management, corporate finance, or a related field.
• Strong financial modeling skills and familiarity with financial statements, including the ability to analyze capital structure, profitability, project costs, and cash flow.
• Understanding of front-office processes, credit risk management, and commercial requirements.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
• Ability to learn quickly, with strong attention to detail and excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong commercial judgment with the ability to balance risks and opportunities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, including working with large datasets.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• Experience in project finance, infrastructure finance, or structured lending.
• Knowledge of energy, renewables, transportation, or emerging green technology sectors.
• Familiarity with credit risk assessment of complex financing structures.
