Renewable Energy Electrician

FindCore are thrilled to be assisting a rapidly growing renewable energy and electrical services business with the recruitment of a Renewable Energy Electrician.

Permanent, full-time position covering Scotland, with site-based travel. A significant amount of upcoming work will be around Dumfries, alongside projects across the wider country. Travel is paid and accommodation is provided when working away where required.

Salary

Competitive / negotiable, depending on experience + bonus scheme + company vehicle and fuel card

Key Responsibilities

• Install, test and commission domestic Solar PV and battery storage systems.
• Complete AC and DC wiring, inverters, isolators, monitoring systems and generation meters.
• Carry out consumer unit upgrades and electrical modifications where required.
• Install and commission battery storage systems.
• Complete electrical testing, inspection and certification.
• Carry out fault finding and remedial works on renewable energy systems.
• Support EV charging and Air Source Heat Pump electrical installations where required.
• Complete job cards, test certificates and photographic installation records.
• Work across domestic, commercial and social housing renewable energy projects.
• Ensure installations meet BS 7671, MCS and relevant industry standards.

Skills & Experience

• Previous electrical installation experience.
• Strong experience with domestic Solar PV and battery storage is highly desirable.
• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• Inspection & Testing qualification such as City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent.
• Solar PV installation qualification.
• Battery storage installation qualification.
• EV charging qualification would be advantageous.
• ECS / JIB Gold Card.
• Strong understanding of electrical testing, safe isolation and BS 7671.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Experience within social housing or renewable energy programmes would be beneficial.
