RecruitME is recruiting for a Mechanical Service Engineer to join a world-leading waste-to-value and anaerobic digestion business during a period of significant UK growth.
This is a hands-on position involving planned and reactive maintenance, mechanical fault-finding, repairs, plant improvements and commissioning support across operational sites throughout the UK.
The successful candidate will ideally be based in Lincolnshire or a surrounding county and must be comfortable with regular UK travel and overnight stays for work further afield.
As Mechanical Service Engineer, you will maintain and repair mechanical and process plant equipment across company-owned, customer and partner-operated sites.
You will carry out planned and reactive maintenance, diagnose faults, replace failed components and safely return plant and machinery to service.
You may also support equipment installations, plant upgrades and commissioning projects.
Minimum Level 3 qualification in mechanical engineering or a related discipline
At least three years' experience in a mechanical service or maintenance role
Previous field-based or site-based engineering experience
Strong mechanical engineering and fault-finding capability
Practical experience with pumps, mixers, agitators, motors or similar equipment
Experience working within an industrial or process plant environment
Planned and reactive maintenance experience
Strong understanding of Safe Systems of Work
Experience preparing or working to RAMS
Organised approach to commissioning and service records
PC literate, including email and Microsoft Office

Direct renewable-energy experience is advantageous but not essential. Applications are welcomed from engineers with relevant mechanical experience in other industrial and process environments.
