You'll be responsible for keeping sites safe, reliable and operational through a mix of planned maintenance, fault finding, breakdown response and improvement work.

This is a genuinely hands-on role with a strong electrical bias, covering three-phase systems, motors, instrumentation, PLC-controlled equipment, pumps and compressors.

    What You'll Be Doing

    • Diagnosing electrical faults and carrying out testing and rectification

    • Working on three-phase systems, motors and associated plant equipment

    • Fault finding on PLC-controlled machinery and basic control systems

    • Supporting instrumentation including analogue and digital I/O

    • Using test equipment such as multimeters, insulation testers, clamp meters and loop calibrators

    • Carrying out mechanical maintenance on pumps, compressors and associated process equipment

    • Supporting shutdowns, plant start-ups and major maintenance activity

    • Monitoring specialist contractors working on site

    • Completing service reports and maintenance documentation

    • Managing your own workload across multiple sites

    What We're Looking For:

    • Time-served electrical apprenticeship or equivalent recognised electrical qualification

    • HNC, NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent

    • Strong electrical maintenance and fault-finding experience

    • Experience working in an industrial, manufacturing or process environment

    • Good understanding of three-phase electrical systems

    • Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics

    • Full UK driving licence

    • Comfortable travelling between sites and occasionally working independently

    • PLC fault finding

    • Instrumentation and control systems

    • Analogue and digital I/O

    • Pumps, compressors and piping systems

    • Process plant maintenance

    • Shutdowns and major maintenance activity

Relevant backgrounds could include: Renewable energy, anaerobic digestion, biogas, food or feed manufacturing, utilities, water, waste, chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas, steel or other heavy process industries.

    The Person

    • A genuine self-starter

    • Confident working independently

    • Strong on fault finding and problem solving

    • Proactive and organised

    • Comfortable taking ownership of site issues

    • Hands on and practical

    • Motivated by continuous improvement and plant reliability

    Package

    • Salary up to £47,500 depending on experience

    • Bonus scheme

    • Company van

    • Private healthcare

    • Up to 7.5% pension

    • 33 days' holiday

    • Tools and equipment provided

    • Regular salary reviews

    • Ongoing training and development

    • Long-term progression within a growing renewable energy business
