Senior Electrical Engineer - Solar PV & BESS, LV / MV Design

We are recruiting for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join an international renewable energy developer and EPC with a growing portfolio of utility-scale Solar PV and BESS projects across Africa and Europe.

This is a technically hands-on role for an engineer who wants exposure beyond a single part of the design process. You will support projects across development, detailed engineering, construction and commissioning, working closely with international engineering and project teams.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Electrical and mechanical design and specification
• LV and MV electrical system design
• Solar PV and BESS engineering
• Management and review of engineering deliverables
• Electrical protection design and specification
• Earthing system design and specification
• SCADA design and specification
• CAD design and technical drawings
• Equipment and component specification
• Technical input into tenders and proposals
• Regulatory and standards compliance
• FAT and SAT compliance and technical support
• Supporting engineering activities through development, construction and commissioning
• Working with internal and external engineering teams across international projects

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Strong electrical design and project engineering experience
• Experience with utility-scale Solar PV and/or BESS projects
• Practical knowledge of LV/MV systems
• Experience producing and/or reviewing engineering designs, specifications and technical deliverables
• Knowledge of protection, earthing, SCADA and electrical distribution systems
• Experience supporting projects through design and construction
• Ability to work across multidisciplinary and international engineering teams
