Welcome to the future of nuclear energy, where Westinghouse Electric Company is leading the field with expertise and innovation to shape the power of tomorrow.
At Westinghouse, innovation is in our DNA. We are creative. We think differently. We reimagine the possible across the nuclear industry every day.
As an Environmental Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring environmental compliance, delivering practical, day-to-day support to maintain adherence to the site's environmental permit at a nuclear licensed manufacturing facility in Preston.
This is a critical role, there is currently no dedicated Environment Team, and you will work closely and report to the Head of Environment to address urgent compliance needs while helping to establish, onboard, and develop a new environmental function. We need someone who can hit the ground running, working at pace to review, improve, and embed processes while supporting the Head of Environment to build a capable and resilient team.
You have extensive experience in environmental permitting within a nuclear or other highly regulated industry and be comfortable balancing strategic work with hands on operational tasks.
This role is perfect for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, can take ownership of key deliverables, and is eager to drive long term compliance improvements while supporting the creation of a high performing team.
We know that to put forth your best effort, you need to be challenged and enjoy what you do in a supportive and respectful environment. We aim to maintain this balance by offering our employees the amenities, benefits and training they need to reach personal and professional goals.
