    Central London Hybrid working

    Competitive salary + benefits

We are working with a fast-growing investment-backed energy business to recruit a newly created Finance Manager position within its London-based team.

The business develops and operates a significant portfolio of utility-scale battery energy storage (BESS) assets across the UK, with a substantial pipeline currently moving through construction and into operation. With ambitious plans for continued growth, this is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist business playing an active role in the UK's energy transition.

Reporting directly to the CFO, the Finance Manager will take ownership of the day-to-day finance function while working closely with the wider business and investment team. The position offers a broad remit spanning management accounting, forecasting, treasury, financial modelling and commercial/ad hoc projects.

    Key responsibilities
    • Ownership of the monthly management accounts, working with an outsourced finance team to review and validate reporting
    • Preparation of financial reporting, presentations and variance analysis against budgets and forecasts
    • Supporting year-end audit, tax reporting, VAT and CIS returns
    • Maintaining and updating the Group's corporate financial model
    • Monitoring Group treasury, including cash flow, hedging and FX
    • Reconciliation of third-party reporting
    • Monitoring, reconciliation and invoicing of sales data
    • Oversight of purchase ledger and supplier relationships
    • Supporting the CFO and wider team on ad hoc finance and commercial projects
    The ideal candidate
    • Qualified accountant - ACA, ACCA or equivalent
    • Strong management accounting and month-end experience
    • Experience supporting annual audits
    • Strong forecasting and analytical capabilities
    • Good understanding of financial modelling
    • Advanced Excel skills
    • Highly detail-oriented with the ability to operate in a growing, hands on environment

This would particularly suit someone looking to move into a broad, commercially exposed Finance Manager role where they can work closely with senior leadership and gain exposure to a rapidly expanding energy and infrastructure platform.

    Location: Central London

Working pattern: Hybrid working available following an initial settling-in period
