  • Birchwell Associates is recruiting for an experienced Solar PV Electrician to join a growing renewable energy business delivering residential and commercial energy efficiency projects across Wales.

    This is a hands-on field-based role suited to a fully qualified Electrician with strong experience in Solar PV and renewable energy installations.

    Youll work as part of an experienced installation team, delivering high-quality electrical and Solar PV work across a variety of domestic and commercial projects.

    The Role

    As Solar PV Electrician, your responsibilities will include:

    • Installing residential and commercial Solar PV systems
    • Wiring and connecting solar panels, inverters and battery storage systems
    • Carrying out general domestic electrical works including sockets and lighting
    • DMEV installations
    • ASHP electrical supply runs, including armoured cable
    • Installing cylinder fused spurs
    • Consumer unit works and repairs where required
    • Electrical fault finding and remedial work
    • Ensuring all installations meet current electrical regulations and safety standards
    • Working closely with installers and other electricians on site
    • Supporting junior electricians and apprentices where required
    • Carrying out quality checks and audits on completed installations
    • Identifying remedial works and helping maintain high installation standards
    • Communicating professionally with customers on site
    What Were Looking For

    To be considered, you will need:

    • Qualified Electrician status
    • 18th Edition
    • Minimum 3 years' electrical experience
    • Previous Solar PV installation experience
    • Experience within renewable energy or renewable heating
    • Strong fault-finding skills
    • Experience working in field-based roles
    • Good customer service skills
    • Strong communication and organisational skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Full right to work in the UK
    • Willingness to travel as required
    Package
    • £40,000 - £50,000 salary
    • Monday to Friday
    • 37.5 hours per week
    • 22 days' annual leave plus bank holidays
