    The Council will pay for the PVG membership cost initially, either £18 for existing PVG scheme members, or £59 for non-members

    Job purpose/about the role

    To contribute to the fulfilment of the Council's statutory

    responsibility for delivering Environmental Health services in

    relation to Environmental Protection as an Authorised Officer.

    Undertake a scheme of part time academic study and practical

    training to attain the diploma in Environmental Health to enable

    career progression to an Environmental Health Officer.

    The post holder needs to hold as a minimum:

    Degree or equivalent in Environmental Health or related science discipline

    Full UK driving licence.

    The postholder is able to demonstrate:

    The post holder needs to be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience in a

    recognised environmental health area such as Public Health, Housing, Air Quality,

    Contaminated Land or Noise.
