    About therole

    As ProgrammeManager, you'll lead the development and delivery of strategic green growthprogrammes that support the East Midlands' economic ambitions whileaccelerating the transition to net zero.

    Working acrosspublic, private and academic sectors, you'll bring together partners, developinvestment opportunities and oversee programmes that maximise the region'sstrengths in clean energy, innovation and advanced manufacturing.

    You'll alsoplay a key role in implementing new devolved responsibilities, securing fundingand ensuring programmes deliver real economic and environmental impact.

    What you'llbe doing

    You'll:

    • Lead the development and deliveryof green growth programmes that translate strategic priorities intopractical, high-impact projects.
    • Develop programmes that unlockopportunities in areas such as nuclear, fusion, hydrogen, sustainableaviation fuel and wider clean energy technologies.
    • Build strong partnerships withlocal authorities, businesses, government agencies, universities, energyorganisations and industry stakeholders.
    • Convene strategic partnerships andcollaborative networks that drive regional investment and innovation.
    • Identify and secure fundingopportunities from public and private sector sources.
    • Commission and manage research,feasibility studies and projects that inform future investment and policy.
    • Deliver programmes arising from newCombined Authority powers, including emerging energy responsibilities.
    • Monitor programme performance,manage governance and ensure continuous improvement.
    • Prepare high-quality reports,briefings and presentations for senior leaders, the Mayor and the GreenGrowth Advisory Board.
    • Represent EMCCA at conferences,industry events and regional and national stakeholder forums.
    What we'relooking for

    We're lookingfor someone who combines excellent programme management skills with a strongunderstanding of the opportunities created by the transition to a low-carboneconomy.

    • Proven experience managing complexprogrammes or projects, ideally within the green economy, clean energy ora related sector.
    • Strong programme and projectmanagement skills, with experience delivering outcomes in complex,multi-stakeholder environments.
    • Knowledge of clean energytechnologies and the role of green growth in driving regional economicdevelopment.
    • Experience leading strategicstakeholder engagement, building partnerships and bringing organisationstogether around shared objectives.
    • Excellent communication andinfluencing skills, with the ability to work confidently across public,private and academic sectors.
    • Experience commissioning projectsor research and managing delivery within governance and value-for-moneyframeworks.
    • Strong financial awareness andcommercial understanding.
    • A relevant degree or equivalentprofessional experience.
    • Evidence of continued professionaldevelopment or membership of a relevant professional body.
    • Experience working in economicgrowth, regional development or investment programmes.
    • Experience securing public and/orprivate sector funding or investment for strategic programmes.
    • Knowledge of regional energy,innovation or industrial policy.
