    • Produce high quality, robust Environmental Permit application(s) essential for permissioning site closure.
    • Build and maintain strong working relationships with regulators (EA, ONR) and manage interfaces with other permissioning regimes such as T&CPA and Licence Conditions.
    • Collaborate with decommissioning projects, technical specialists, contractors and stakeholders to ensure requirements are met and the final End State can be delivered effectively.
    Who are we looking for

You'll bring a strong academic foundation, supported by deep technical expertise in environmental permitting and safety cases. Your background will include significant experience delivering complex environmental and human health risk assessments, combined with a solid understanding of environmental modelling approaches and relevant national and international standards.

    You will be:

    • Degree (Level 6) in science, engineering or a related discipline.
    • Experienced in managing production and technical oversight of environmental and human health risk assessments. Knowledge of environmental transport models and approaches.
    • Extensive experience in Environmental Safety Cases or Radioactive Substances Permitting and experience in managing interactions with Regulators to support Permit applications.
    • Experience in managing interfaces and interactions with regulators.
    • Knowledgeable on environmental issues including practices, policies, legislation and stakeholders relating to radioactive and non-radioactive waste management.
    • Detailed knowledge of the requirements of Radioactive Substances Regulation, GRR or GRA and relevant national and international standards.

In addition, it would be advantageous to have experience in managing contractors, undertaking technical assessments, including project reporting / accountability and knowledge of interfacing regulatory regimes including conventional waste, groundwater and Town and Country Planning Act.

If you're driven by complex challenges, thrive in collaborative environments and want your work to leave a lasting legacy, we'd love to hear from you. Join us-and be part of delivering a future focused solution that truly makes a difference.
