The objective was developing, operating, and owning a network of large-scale, responsibly designed, sustainably powered data centre campuses across the world to meet the rapidly expanding global demand for hyperscale data processing and storage solutions. Since then, the Echelon Group has expanded to ownership of six sites across Ireland and the United Kingdom and has secured >€1bn of funding to develop sites, giving the Group an enterprise value of c€2.5bn. Located in Sandyford Dublin, Echelon Data Centres is now seeking a Environmental Manager to join the team. This role provides an excellent opportunity to join a rapidly growing Irish company and will report to the Procurement Director.
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Manager to lead environmental compliance, permitting, and sustainability initiatives across our data centre and energy generation portfolio. The successful candidate will play a critical role in securing and maintaining Industrial Emissions Directive (IED) licences, ensuring full regulatory compliance, and supporting environmentally responsible operations.
The Environmental Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the organisation's environmental and energy management systems across data centre facilities and associated energy centres.
This role ensures full compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 50001, as well as all relevant environmental legislation, licenses, and corporate sustainability commitments.
