Lead Solar Installer - Midlands (Travel Across England & Wales) - Competitive Salary + Vehicle + Benefits
Do you hold a Level 3 NVQ in Electrical Installation or an equivalent electrotechnical qualification?
Do you have current 18th Edition (BS7671) certification?
Do you have hands-on experience installing Solar PV systems across a variety of roof types?
Do you hold a full UK driving licence and are you happy to travel across England and Wales?
If the answers are yes, we are hiring for a Lead Solar Installer on behalf of a growing renewable energy contractor delivering Solar PV, Battery Storage and Heat Pump projects across the UK.
WHAT YOU NEED
Level 3 NVQ in Electrical Installation or equivalent essential
18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification essential
Experience leading or supervising installation teams within Solar PV, renewable energy or electrical projects
Strong knowledge of Solar PV installation methods, system components and performance
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, roof layouts and installation specifications
Confident using power tools and hand tools safely and effectively
Good understanding of UK electrical regulations and safe working practices
Strong problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail
Excellent communication skills and ability to coordinate with customers, suppliers and project stakeholders
Comfortable working at height and in varying weather conditions
Full UK driving licence
Level 3 Solar PV qualification (City & Guilds 2922 or equivalent) desirable
Previous experience as a Senior or Lead Solar Installer highly desirable

Lead installation crews on residential and commercial Solar PV projects
Plan and organise daily installation activities

Carry out commissioning activities and quality checks

Liaise with project managers, suppliers and customers throughout project delivery

Complete installation reports and system handover documentation
Travel to project sites across England and Wales as required
