The Role

As SENDCO, you will:

• Lead and coordinate SEND provision across the school
• Manage EHCPs, Annual Reviews, and statutory SEND processes
• Work closely with teachers and support staff to ensure high-quality inclusive practice
• Support pupils with a range of additional needs to achieve their full potential
• Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and external agencies
• Contribute to whole-school improvement and inclusion strategies
• Ensure compliance with the SEND Code of Practice and current legislation
• Monitor and evaluate the progress of pupils with SEND, implementing effective interventions where required

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• The National Award for SEN Coordination (or be working towards it)
• Strong knowledge of SEND legislation and best practice
• Experience working within a primary school setting
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
• A child-centred and solution-focused approach
• A passion for creating an inclusive learning environment where every child can succeed
