Commercial Solar PV Electrician

Full-time, Permanent
£21 - £24 per hour, dependent upon experience/qualifications

An established but growing company in the renewable energy sector is looking for an experienced electrician to join its team, focusing on solar PV installations. This is a great opportunity for someone with a solid electrical background who wants to build a career in clean energy.

The role would suit someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, takes safety seriously, and is comfortable liaising with clients on-site. Please note this role involves travel to sites, with overnight stays away from home when required.

What the role involves:

• Installing solar panels, inverters and battery storage equipment to agreed technical specifications
• Working to current UK wiring regulations and health and safety standards at all times
• Preparing documentation for permits, grid connection applications and compliance records
• Liaising with clients on project progress, system performance and maintenance needs
• Providing clear technical guidance and a strong standard of customer service
• Staying up to date with evolving industry standards and technology

What's needed:

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
• 17th/18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification
• Solar PV installation experience is a bonus but not essential
• Solid grounding in commercial or utilities electrical work
• Well organised with strong communication skills
• Fit and able to work at height
• Willingness and ability to travel, including overnight stays as needed
• Full UK driving licence, clean history
• Valid ECS Gold Card
