About This RoleAllianz Global Investors is one of the world's leading active investment managers. The firm is seeking a highly motivated Associate Portfolio Manager to join its Renewables team in London, supporting large-scale European repowering development and value-creation initiatives, with a particular focus on the German-speaking market.Key Responsibilities:- Support repowering development and value-creation activities (including battery hybridisation) in Germany, Austria, and other markets for internal and third-party investors- Manage local development partners and external consultants (legal, tax, technical) during development processes- Provide financial analysis of development opportunities to support decision-making- Oversee land lease securing strategy and permitting processes- Support implementation including negotiation and execution of construction and long-term operation contracts- Prepare offtake solutions including analysis of government auctions and PPA options- Assist in financing package negotiations where appropriate- Prepare investment papers for internal approval processes- Develop and refine project financial models and produce economic analysis and sensitivities- Support Allianz internal reporting and investor/management communication cycles- Monitor market developments affecting the portfolioCandidate Requirements:- Strong academic credentials in Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, Renewables, or Finance- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in Renewables Transactions, Development, or Asset Management- German language skills strongly preferred given DACH market focus- Advanced financial modelling skills- Keen interest in energy transition and renewable energy infrastructureThis role sits within Allianz GI's infrastructure and real assets platform and offers exposure to a leading European renewables investment portfolio.Apply for this Position
