  • Protecnium is an international consulting firm specializing in engineering and technical services (). We are currently looking for a Piling Rig Operator to join our team for a Solar PV Plant Project in Scotland, United Kingdom (on-site position), approximately 50 minutes north of Edinburgh.

    Project: Solar PV Construction Project

    Estimated duration of the position: 3 months - In general, when the project ends, we try to place the employee in other projects to give him/her continuity.

    Summary: operating piling/post-driving equipment for the installation of steel posts and foundations for photovoltaic mounting structures. The role requires previous experience operating piling rigs, post drivers, or drilling/piling equipment in construction, renewable energy, or infrastructure projects.

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Operate piling rig, post-driving or drilling equipment safely and efficiently for the installation of PV structure foundations.
    • Carry out daily equipment checks, basic maintenance, and report any technical issues or defects.
    • Follow site drawings, setting-out indications, alignment requirements, and installation tolerances.
    • Coordinate with site supervisors, survey teams, banksmen, and ground crews to ensure safe and accurate execution of works.
    • Comply with all HSE procedures, site rules, lifting/exclusion zones, and environmental requirements during piling activities.

    Working hours: Monday to Friday: 9 am to 5 pm- 1 hour break.
