  • About the role

    The role will provide direction, support and guidance to our project teams on all aspects of hands on environmental management, meeting legal and company standards and helping deliver a culture of continual improvement. It will support site based project design construction controls and mitigations, sustainability opportunities and deliver against client led contractual requirements and BBPTD tactical aspects to achieve our strategic goals. A key part of the role will be engagement with clients, stakeholders, subcontractors, and environmental authorities.

    What you'll be doing
    • Completion, reviewing, updating of company environmental documentation, sustainability delivery and managing a variety of environmental risks and opportunities.
    • Producing and maintaining permitting and licensing requirements for specific projects.
    • Fully interpreting policy, regulation, and legislation across the portfolio.
    • Providing visible ES support across the portfolio.
    • Supporting one or more high level/value/complex projects through feasibility to post construction with the backing of your E&S Team colleagues.
    • Supporting one or more standalone projects through feasibility to post construction.
    • Ensuring and reporting on environmental compliance.
    • Supporting work winning activities by advising on ES issues such as planning, permitting, and licensing requirements.
    • Managing and maintaining EROA/IRIS.
    Who we're looking for
    • Full driving license and flexibility to travel.
    • Professional membership at a relevant level (IEMA/CIEEM/CIWEM) or equivalent experience and competence.
    • Good knowledge of environmental management with relevant experience.
    • Experience working in a construction environment.
    • Practical experience and sound knowledge of environmental statutory requirements, including legislation, ecology mitigation, environmental licensing and consent applications.
    • Experience overseeing, developing and directing Graduate ES roles across a portfolio.
    • Understanding of the benefits of working collaboratively to obtain the best outcome.
