Ground Control is looking for an experienced Environment & Sustainability Manager to join the business on a 12-month maternity cover contract. This is a key role within our HSQE function, supporting the delivery of our environmental strategy and ensuring compliance across our UK and Ireland operations.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an Environmental professional to make their mark in our multi-facetted business. You'll also get full exposure across all our divisions and business lines, making this a genuinely varied 12 months.
We're looking for someone who combines strong technical knowledge with the ability to influence across a multi-site operational business. You must be prepared to be hands on as you will need to get involved at both at strategic and operational level.
You must currently have or be very close to gaining PIEMA qualification as a minimum ideally with a degree in Environmental Science or similar.
Any experience within utilities, rail, infrastructure, or environmental services is a real bonus as well as knowledge of carbon reporting, Net Zero programmes, or PAS 2080. You will also need a familiarity with ISO standards and environmental management systems.
