Due to the continued growth and expansion of our Energy business, we are seeking to strengthen our Project Management Office (PMO) capability and to recruit an Apprentice Project Manager to support the delivery of AECOM's Great Grid Programme (GGP). This role is intended to start in July 2026, with a view to enrolling with a training provider and commencing external training in September 2026.

This role will sit within the Energy business unit, reporting to the GGP PMO Lead, and will play a key role in supporting programme governance, coordination and delivery across AECOM's Great Grid Programme. The PMO is central to ensuring effective planning, reporting, risk management and stakeholder coordination across a complex and high profile portfolio of projects that are critical to the UK's energy transition.

You will complete the Project Manager Degree Apprenticeship with Leeds Trinity University, delivered through a blended learning approach. Apprentices also engage in independent research activities, and you will attend instructor led training sessions aimed at equipping you with the knowledge and skills needed for success.
You may pursue professional institute qualifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP). Upon successful completion, the apprentice will achieve a BSc (Hons) Professional Practice in Project Management.
