Nordex has an exciting opportunity for the role of Wind Turbine Service Technician based at Kilbraur Windfarm in the Scottish Highlands.
Contract Type: Permanent
Location: Kilbraur Windfarm, Scottish Highlands
Hours: Our core hours are 37 per week (Monday-Thursday 8am-4:30pm, Friday 8am-1pm) with a requirement to work overtime when required.
Service Technicians are required to be available for any breakdowns and faults at the weekend, working on-call every 2nd or 3rd weekend (depending on the size of your team). Overtime is paid at time and a half, and you will receive an additional payment for the weekend you are on on-call.
Successful candidates must live within a radius of up to 1 hour from the windfarm.
How can you make a difference?
As a Wind Turbine Service Technician, you will be responsible for the servicing and maintenance of Nordex wind turbines covering turbines at Kilbraur Windfarm in the Scottish Highlands. You will carry out general and specialised work including repairs, troubleshooting and fault-finding activities ensuring our wind turbines continue to achieve a high level of availability.
What will you be doing?
You will be responsible for Wind Turbine availability, which means physically troubleshooting turbines not performing to capacity on various wind farms, as well as analysing data and other information to be able to create and support implementing action plans that will increase performance in the fleet.

What are we looking for?
The ideal candidate will have experience of working in the Mechanical / Electrical industry and be able to demonstrate knowledge of reading electrical, hydraulic and mechanical diagrams.
You will be Mechanical or Electrical trained through time-served or a technical college qualification which should be at least NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
You will be able to demonstrate you can identify and define problems, extract crucial information from technical data, and develop workable solutions to problems.
