  • As a specialist recruiter within Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Logistics LM Talent Solutions are seeking an experienced Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Manager to lead and enhance HSE performance across two fast paced manufacturing sites.

    Reporting directly into the Production Manager and responsible for 2 sites, this is a key role responsible for ensuring legal compliance, driving a strong safety culture, and supporting environmental and sustainability initiatives.

    Possessing strong leadership and influencing skills you will play a central role in developing and implementing HSE strategies, conducting audits and risk assessments, and working closely with operational teams to promote safe and responsible working practices.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead the development and implementation of HSE policies and procedures to A2 Environmental standards
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation including COSHH, PUWER, LOLER, Manual Handling, PPE, DSE, Environmental, Waste Management in addition to many other regulation and Health and Hygiene standards and objectives. DSEAR is desirable however not essential
    • Complete Sedex, EcoVadis & Worldly reports to maintain and improve standards across the business
    • Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments across sites
    • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, ensuring corrective actions are implemented
    • Deliver HSE training and promote a positive safety culture
    • Work collaboratively with engineering and operations teams to ensure safe systems of work
    • Manage contractor safety and compliance
    • Maintain ISO standards (14001 and 45001) and support external audits
    • Oversee environmental performance, including sustainability initiatives
    • Manage environmental permit requirements and regulatory reporting
    • Act as the key contact for HSE-related matters internally and externally

    About You

    • Proven experience in a senior HSE role
    • Level 6 qualification in NEBOSH
    • IEMA practitioner or similar
    • Membership of a recognised professional body (or working towards)
    • Strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills
    • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
