    Band 7 Screening Team Manager - SOLAR

    The closing date is 19 March 2026

    We are looking for an enthusiastic, self motivated team manager to provide clear leadership and management of the newly created Screening and Triage Team. This team will consist of 4 substantive Band 6 Mental Health Practitioners and 2 Fixed Term B6 Mental Health Practitioners.

    This team will also be responsible for taking calls and monitoring the core intervention wait list.

    The post holder will need to have good clinical risk management skills and be able to have a compassionate telephone manner when talking with families and professionals.

    Main duties of the job

    Team Lead role - working alongside the other Secondary Team Leads in SOLAR. SOLAR Secondary consists of the following teams: Core, Children in Care, LD, Crisis and Mpower and Eating Disorder Service.

    Post holder needs strong management and leadership skills.

    Create a robust Screening and Triage process for SOLAR that includes managing duty and monitoring the core intervention wait list.

    It may be necessary to complete f2f reviews and Initial Assessments.

    Person Specification Training and Qualification
    • Appropriate registered professional qualification (e.g Nursing, Social Work, Therapy).
    • Passionate about CAMHS
    • Additional training or CPD in CAMHS
    • Training or CPD in Leadership or Management
    Knowledge and Experience
    • substantial post qualifying experience in working within children's mental health
    • Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team
    • Understanding of mental health act, CPA policies
    • Experience of managing people, projects, or pathways
    • Experience of working in CAMHS
    Personal Qualities / Values
    • Genuine interest in working with Children's mental health
