Senior Electrician - Commercial Solar

This is not a repetitive install role - it's a senior, hands on role with real responsibility and a wide variety of work.

We're looking for an experienced Senior / Lead Electrician who can take ownership of electrical installation, inspection, testing, and certification across our commercial solar portfolio.

This is a role for someone who can sign off work confidently and compliantly from day one.

This is a hands on, senior electrician position.

You'll be directly involved in electrical installation, servicing, inspection, and maintenance of commercial solar PV systems, including AC side works back to LV mains incomers and DC side inspection and testing.

Alongside installation work, you'll take responsibility for ensuring systems are tested, commissioned, and certified correctly and compliantly.

You'll also work closely with subcontract installation partners, ensuring work is carried out safely, to regulation, and to Myriad's standards.

You will not be desk based or purely supervisory. This role suits someone who enjoys being on site, solving problems, and taking pride in doing work properly.

The role is field based and involves travel across England and Wales. Overnight stays will be required at times, depending on project location.

This is a role for someone who takes standards seriously and wants to apply their experience in a technically credible renewable engineering business.

• Carrying out hands on installation of commercial solar PV systems
• Completing AC electrical works up to LV mains incomers, including distribution, protection, and testing
• Inspecting, testing, commissioning, and certifying PV systems (AC and DC)
• Performing planned and reactive maintenance and fault finding
• Supporting commissioning, documentation, and formal handover
• Working alongside subcontract teams to maintain safety, quality, and compliance
• Completing all certification and regulatory documentation accurately and on time

• Qualified electrician (Level 3 NVQ or equivalent)
• C&G (Inspection & Testing) or equivalent
• Level 3 Solar PV qualification (e.g. 2922, 2399) or equivalent commercial PV competence
• Confident inspecting and testing both AC and DC solar systems
• Strong commercial installation and fault finding experience
• Holds a full UK driving licence
• Fully eligible to work in the UK with no restrictions
• Field based role with travel across England & Wales (overnight stays required at times)
