Salary on Lecturer appointment will be £48,822 per annum, dependent on skills and experience, with an annual increment up to £56,535 per annum.
Salary on Associate Professor appointment will be £58,225 per annum, dependent on skills and experience, with an annual increment up to £67,468 per annum.
The University of East Anglia invites applications for a full-time permanent Lecturer or Associate Professor in Environmental Assessment and Management based in the School of Environmental Sciences. The successful applicant will assume the role of Course Director for UEA's long-established, highly successful and Institute of Sustainability and Environmental Professionals (ISEP) accredited MSc in Environmental Assessment and Management. We would welcome applications from candidates who are well placed to develop new links between the university and business/industry and the third sector.
Candidates will have developed strong expertise in the field of environmental assessment and management through qualifications or previous experience in higher education or working in industry or related areas. This could include candidates with specialist interests in: sustainability and sustainable development, lifecycle assessment, corporate social responsibility, environmental legislation; carbon accounting, sustainable business models, environmental management systems; ecosystem services; environmental limits and resource use, waste and the circular economy, or other areas related to environmental assessment and management.
The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate enthusiasm, and sufficient proficiency and knowledge to contribute to teaching both in-class and in the field and be able to fulfil all other essential elements of the person specification.
This full-time post is available on an indefinite basis.
