Are you an experienced Designated Technical Person (DTP) with a strong background in solar PV and battery storage systems, looking for a senior, permanent position in a fast-growing renewable energy business?

This is a unique opportunity to join an expanding solar PV and battery storage company, delivering high-quality projects across the South East. You will be the technical authority for the business, working closely with a growing team, shaping the technical standards and governance across all projects.

Your Role as a Designated Technical Person (DTP):

• Act as the organisation s technical authority for solar PV and battery storage systems
• Provide technical governance and oversight across all renewable energy projects
• Review, approve, and sign off system designs and technical documentation
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and accreditation requirements
• Support internal and external audits and technical assessments
• Act as a senior technical point of reference for internal teams
• Occasional site visits (1 day per week) using a company pool car

As a Designated Technical Person, You Will Have:

• Proven experience operating as a DTP / technical authority within solar PV and battery storage
• Strong background in system design, compliance, and governance
• In-depth knowledge of UK electrical and renewable energy regulations
• Solar PV design and installation qualification
• Battery storage qualification (EESS, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
• 18th Edition (BS 7671)
• AM2 or equivalent
• ECS / Gold Card (desirable)
