    Location: Milton Keynes (Site Based)
    Contract: Full-Time, 40 hours per week
    Salary: £55,000 - £60,000
    Department: Renewables / Projects

    The Renewables division delivers multi-technology renewable energy projects-including solar PV, wind, hydro, and biomass-ensuring technical accuracy, quality, and safe execution throughout all stages of construction.

    Job Objective

    To provide accurate setting out, surveying, and engineering support across renewable energy project sites, acting as the technical link between design teams and on-site construction while ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to specification.

    Responsibilities
    • Transfer design drawings into accurate on-site layouts.
    • Verify construction works comply with approved engineering drawings and technical specifications.
    • Supervise contractors and subcontractors to ensure works meet engineering and quality standards.
    • Conduct regular site inspections, quality checks, and technical verifications.
    • Maintain accurate records of surveys, measurements, and as-built documentation.
    • Prepare daily and weekly site reports for the Senior Project Manager.
    • Support technical problem-solving and provide engineering input during construction activities.
    • Liaise with design engineers, project managers, and clients as required.
    • Communicate technical requirements clearly to site teams.
    • Assist with client and regulatory inspections when required.
    Qualifications & Experience
    • Qualification in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Renewable Energy Engineering.
    • Experience in setting out and surveying on construction or renewable energy projects.
    • Proficient in CAD software and surveying equipment (total station, GPS, laser levels).
    • Strong knowledge of renewable energy systems and construction practices.
    • Health & Safety certification (NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent) preferred.
    Skills & Competencies
    • Excellent communication and technical reporting abilities.
    • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve on-site engineering challenges.
    • Strong leadership and organisational skills.
    • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
    • High attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Strong understanding of UK renewable energy guidelines and construction standards.
