    Role Overview

    The Biomass Field Service Engineer is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and servicing of mechanical systems with a specialist focus on biomass heating technologies. This role combines hands on engineering expertise with a commitment to safety, efficiency, and sustainability. The engineer will work across a variety of sites, ensuring that mechanical installations and biomass systems are delivered and maintained to the highest standards.

    What You'll be Doing

    Responsible for the service, maintenance, and commissioning of biomass boilers, fuel feed systems, and associated mechanical and electrical plant, including pipework, pumps, and valves. Duties include diagnosing faults, performing reactive repairs, conducting routine inspections and preventative maintenance, and supporting system upgrades. Ensures compliance with environmental and safety regulations, maintains accurate service records using Fieldmotion on an iPad, and liaises with clients, contractors, and internal teams to coordinate work and resolve issues. Actively contributes to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing system reliability and energy efficiency.
