    About the Role
    We are seeking a driven and commercially minded Sales Manager to join a well-established environmental services business operating within the soil and waste management sector. This role is focused on delivering sustainable growth, developing long-term client relationships, and providing tailored technical solutions to customers across the region and beyond.

    Working closely with internal technical, operational, and senior management teams, you will take ownership of a defined sales territory while contributing to wider business strategy and performance.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with clients and project partners.
    • Assess incoming enquiries and issue accurate quotations within 24 hours in line with KPIs.
    • Develop and deliver regional business plans and sales strategies aligned to company objectives.
    • Support and contribute to marketing campaigns and promotional initiatives.
    • Conduct client visits for soil sampling, site assessments, and sales meetings.
    • Collaborate with technical teams to optimise solutions for hazardous and non-hazardous soil disposal.
    • Promote value-added services including waste brokering and on-site contracting.
    • Liaise with operations to ensure service delivery aligns with site capacity and customer needs.
    • Maintain accurate records of pricing, sales activity, and reporting.
    • Monitor competitor activity and market trends to support growth strategies.

    Skills & Attributes

    • Strong knowledge of the environmental, waste, or soil services market within Yorkshire / North East.
    • Proven business development and client management capability.
    • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
    • Entrepreneurial, proactive, and results-driven mindset.
    • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
    • Committed to high standards of compliance, health & safety, and customer service.
