    The Role

    As Senior Ecologist, you'll play a leading role in delivering high-quality ecological input across a variety of projects, from initial site surveys to planning submissions and beyond.

    Key responsibilities
    • Leading and undertaking Preliminary Ecological Appraisals (PEAs)
    • Managing and coordinating field surveys, site work and reporting
    • Providing robust ecological advice and input to planning teams and clients
    • Mentoring and supporting junior ecologists in the field and on project work
    • Supporting the integration of ecology into EIA and multi-disciplinary projects
    About You
    • Proven experience in ecological consultancy or similar
    • Strong field skills and experience with PEAs and PRAs
    • Confident in report writing and communicating with planners, clients and stakeholders
    • Ability to manage and deliver projects independently
    • A passion for mentoring and supporting junior team members
    • Full driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across the South East
    • Bonus Skills (Desirable, Not Essential): Protected species licence(s)
    • Experience contributing to EIA chapters or biodiversity net gain assessments
