    Renewable Energy Contracts Manager - 14-month fixed-term contract.

    We're currently seeking a Renewable Energy Contracts Manager for a 14-month fixed-term contract. This is a key role within our Energy & Carbon team, managing and procuring renewable energy contracts that support Thames Water's hedging strategy and budget planning.

    What you'll be doing as a Renewable Energy Contracts Manager
    • Lead the management of Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) - from tender through to delivery.
    • Oversee contracts relating to behind-the-meter generation (e.g. solar), biomethane export, and demand flexibility schemes.
    • Manage Thames Water's current PPAs, acting as the key stakeholder contact and ensuring effective operation.
    • Provide ad hoc support to the Energy & Carbon Management team on projects that reduce energy use, costs, and carbon emissions.
    • Maintain robust contract monitoring, compliance, reporting, and performance tracking.
    • Identify opportunities to optimise agreements, mitigate risks, and deliver financial and operational benefits.

    Working hours: 36 hours, Monday to Friday

    What you should bring to the role

    Essential experience
    The essential criteria to help you succeed in this role are:

    • Proven track record in managing and delivering complex contracts, with strong knowledge of contract compliance.
    • Experience in contract negotiation, including identifying financial and legal risks.
    • Excellent commercial acumen, with strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel/Office skills and the ability to analyse, interpret, and present data clearly.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to deliver effective solutions under pressure.
    • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.

    Additional skills and experiences would be great to have or bring:

    • Previous experience in the energy industry.
    • Knowledge of energy contract management and procurement of PPAs.
    • Power BI capabilities.
