    Location: Midlands & South of England (in occasions and in other districts)

    Salary: DOE. Engineers required with Utility scale Solar, Battery Storage and EV experience for the Midlands & South of England. The role will complete all day-to-day operation and maintenance services to ensure that the PV systems operate to maximum efficiency. Provide technical reporting services for PV, BESS and EV system installation & construction, as well as preventative and corrective maintenance tasks. The role will be field-based, working on a range of projects (domestic, commercial and utility scale), and you will be the face of the company at client properties on installation day alongside testing and inspecting the electrical work. You will visit various sites on a daily basis and report findings, observations and measurements to the management team under the instructions of the O&M Manager.

    The Role :
    • You will work closely with the Management team to supervise and execute (i) planned preventative maintenance, (ii) corrective maintenance and (iii) troubleshooting/fault finding, as well as new installations and/or remedial works
    • Responsible for routine maintenance, testing, and remedial work on deployed solar PV/BESS/EV systems
    • Responsible for complying with the company procedures
    • Responsible for performing Preventative Maintenance according to the PPM plans
    • Provide comprehensive reports in line with i-Connect standards, in a prompt and diligent manner; these business-critical reports can be prepared remotely, not necessarily at site or in the office
    • Reporting of activities performed on site, upon any site visit and on a daily basis, through the company CRM or manual reports as applicable
    • Adhere to all HSE procedures at all times and play an active role in risk assessment
    • Comply with all required fire, health and safety requirements for the environment in which you are working, including awareness of current applicable policies and risk assessments and attending required training
    • Assisting with major installations and commissioning installs
    • Take full ownership of assigned sites
    • Manage relationships with local subcontractors
    Minimum experience
    • Previous experience working as Field Engineer/Electrician in the construction of solar farms (3-5 years)
    • Utility scale Solar/BESS/EV construction, installation and maintenance experience
    • Inverter maintenance experience
    • Fluent in English
    • High Voltage (HV) Switching experience (preferably)
    • Knowledge of network infrastructure (e.g. LAN, routers, switches) (preferably)
    Skills
    • UK Driving licence - advantage
    • Willingness to travel flexibly

    Qualifications
    • Approved electrician UK (required)
    • Recognized electrical qualification such as City and Guilds 2382-18 (18th Edition BS 7671) and Testing and inspection certification 2391
    • CSCS, ECS card holder
    • Must be willing and able to travel in support of existing & new projects, with potential for stays away from home
    • Excellent communication skills and a great manner in communicating with customers and colleagues
    • Knowledge of AC and DC electrical systems such as AC distribution boards, DC combiner boxes, inverters, transformer, automation panels, etc
    • Knowledge of High Voltage systems, up to 33kV, in terms of switching operations and maintenance would be an advantage
    • Able to use IT equipment and mobile phone for reporting, working knowledge of Microsoft Office
    • Diligent & knowledgeable approach to Health and Safety
    • IOSH or NEBOSH
    • LV/HV Jointer's qualifications and experience are a plus
    Schedule
    • Monday - Friday
