Field-Based O&M Engineer - Renewable Energy (Battery Storage / Solar PV / Electrical)
You're an experienced electrical engineer. Or you're someone with the right mindset and technical grounding to become one. Either way, you're looking for a role that's going somewhere and a company that's growing fast enough to take you with it. Our client is a fast scaling UK-based independent power producer in the renewable energy sector. They maintain utility-scale battery storage and solar PV sites across the country.
This role is field-based, covering operational sites across Lancashire and occasionally further afield. You'll be hands-on with inspections, fault-finding, repairs, commissioning, and contractor supervision. You'll also be trained up properly with a clear path to HV Authorised Person or SAP status if that's where you want to go.
We don't expect you to know everything about energy storage. If you've got solid industrial electrical experience and a full UK driving licence, we'll teach you the rest.
What's in it for you?
£43-49k salary (negotiable based on experience)
Van + fuel card (personal use allowed)
Paid overtime (x1.5)
Annual bonus (up to 20% of salary)
Extensive in-house training
Career progression into HV/AP/SAP roles
Company pension
A team that actually supports you
What you'll need:
NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in electrical installation or maintenance
Full UK driving licence
A willingness to travel and occasionally stay away for training or site cover
Nice to have (or we'll train you):
Inspection & testing (C&G 2391 or 2394/5)
First aid / H&S qualifications (IOSH, SMSTS, CSCS etc.)
Central inverter or HV training
