    What matters to us

    Required

    • Degree Qualified (or experience equivalent to a degree) in an environmental subject.
    • Full Member of IEMA/IES/CIWEM (or similar).
    • ISO 14001 Lead Auditor trained.
    • Full Driving Licence.
    • Significant experience in environmental management within the construction industry.
    • Fully aware of regulatory, legislative, and company requirements.
    • Qualified or working towards Chartered Environmentalist.

    Your contribution to our company
    • Implement and maintain the STRABAG Environmental Management System, ensuring ISO 14001 compliance.
    • Review and evaluate environmental processes and documentation, supporting group HSSE in system development.
    • Ensure timely collation and submission of environmental and sustainability statistics.
    • Review statistics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
    • Manage Environmental Advisors' workload and ensure environmental responsibilities are understood.
    • Ensure Environmental Management Plans and related procedures are in place and followed.
    • Coordinate audit programs and execute internal audits to ensure compliance.
    • Conduct inspections and site tours for policy compliance.
    • Liaise with authorities, clients, and stakeholders on environmental issues.
    • Report major incidents promptly and investigate incidents to implement corrective actions.
    • Share lessons learned across projects.
    • Stop work if environmental management is in question, with approval from the Project Manager.
    • Provide advice on environmental legislation to ensure compliance.
    • Disseminate information from the Group Environmental Manager to relevant staff.
