Role
Climate17 are working with an international renewable energy company who build, operate and manage a portfolio of large-scale Solar PV assets across Europe.
They are actively searching for a skilled solar PV Field Service Engineer to carry our planned, preventative and reactive maintenance across their UK portfolio
Responsibilities
Routine maintenance activities on modules, inverters, cables and connectors, DC and AC distribution boxes
Routine maintenance activities on module mounting systems, fence and gates, inverter and transformer stations (excluding equipment)
Routine maintenance activities on monitoring and communication equipment (data logger, routers, sensors, etc.)
Routine maintenance activities on security system devices (cameras, barriers, etc.)
Fault finding on electrical components by means of visual inspections or professional site measurement activities (thermal imaging, insulation tester, etc.)
Visual inspection activities, cleaning and report to management team
Execute corrective measures to keep the system available
Engage and manage subcontractors
Called to perform reactive and corrective maintenance activities as well as, from time to time to manage subcontractors and control quality of activities performed.
The site technician shall give availability on working from time to time during weekends and bank holidays (as part of a team rota).
Requirements
Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in electrical installation and maintenance, preferably in industrial or utility-scale environments.
Proven experience or technical knowledge of three-phase photovoltaic (PV) systems.
Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
C&G or NVQ level 3 electrical
BS th edition wiring regulations
C&G 2391-94/95 test and inspection, or equivalent
Proficiency in using electrical testing tools
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Strong communication skills
Problem-solving mindset
Team player
Valid and clean car driving license
