Role

Climate17 are working with an international renewable energy company who build, operate and manage a portfolio of large-scale Solar PV assets across Europe.

They are actively searching for a skilled solar PV Field Service Engineer to carry our planned, preventative and reactive maintenance across their UK portfolio

Responsibilities

• Routine maintenance activities on modules, inverters, cables and connectors, DC and AC distribution boxes
• Routine maintenance activities on module mounting systems, fence and gates, inverter and transformer stations (excluding equipment)
• Routine maintenance activities on monitoring and communication equipment (data logger, routers, sensors, etc.)
• Routine maintenance activities on security system devices (cameras, barriers, etc.)
• Fault finding on electrical components by means of visual inspections or professional site measurement activities (thermal imaging, insulation tester, etc.)
• Visual inspection activities, cleaning and report to management team
• Execute corrective measures to keep the system available
• Engage and manage subcontractors
• Called to perform reactive and corrective maintenance activities as well as, from time to time to manage subcontractors and control quality of activities performed.
• The site technician shall give availability on working from time to time during weekends and bank holidays (as part of a team rota).

Requirements

• Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in electrical installation and maintenance, preferably in industrial or utility-scale environments.
• Proven experience or technical knowledge of three-phase photovoltaic (PV) systems.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
• C&G or NVQ level 3 electrical
• BS th edition wiring regulations
• C&G 2391-94/95 test and inspection, or equivalent
• Proficiency in using electrical testing tools
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Strong communication skills
• Problem-solving mindset
• Team player
• Valid and clean car driving license
