O&M Manager - Solar PV & BESS

Climate17 is working alongside a well-established UK-based asset management firm specializing in the entire project lifecycle, from origination to operations of renewable energy and power generation assets.

They are seeking an O&M Manager to ensure contractual and statutory compliance for a portfolio of Solar PV and BESS O&M contracts. The O&M Manager will aim to maximize asset production, increase efficiency, and maintain a high safety performance level.

1. Provide O&M services to meet contractual requirements, including reactive callout rotas, team recruitment, training, and competency management.
2. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure staff have the necessary tools and equipment.
3. Monitor maintenance performance metrics and implement improvements.
4. Develop maintenance plans.
5. Schedule resources, manage work control safely, and report on completed work.
6. Ensure compliance with safety rules.
7. Draft and review RAMS, permits, and maintenance procedures.
8. Manage a team of engineers daily, ensuring safety adherence.
9. Oversee supplier relationships and equipment warranties.
10. Coordinate with external stakeholders such as DNOs and asset owners.
11. Respond to emergencies, site outages, and changing circumstances.
12. Serve as the main contact for the company's O&M service, providing updates to clients and contractual reports within the designated region.
13. Manage P&L responsibilities for the services and contracts.
14. Ensure accurate client invoicing and supplier payments.
15. Assist in onboarding new sites into maintenance systems.
16. Utilize and maintain a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

• Qualification in an electrical or electro-mechanical discipline.
• ECS Gold Card - Essential.
• Previous electrical or multi-skilled maintenance experience.
• Proficient IT skills (Word, Outlook, Excel, troubleshooting software).
• Qualification to work safely on-site.
• HV authorized person - AP15/OP40.
• Knowledge of HV/LV power electronics (inverters, converters, transformers).
• Experience with BESS - preferred.
• HVAC training and F-Gas qualification - preferred.
• Strong IT understanding, including CMD, remote desktop, networking, MODBUS/TCP protocols - preferred.
• C&G2391-5 Test & Inspect or equivalent - preferred.

Remote work with nationwide site travel as required.
