Summary of Role

Reporting to the Quality Director, you will support the implementation of Hall & Kay Fire Services' business, quality, & EHS strategies. You will conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with environmental standards.

What you will be doing

1. Support the implementation of Hall & Kay Fire Services' business, quality, & EHS strategies through your conduct, behaviours, and actions.
2. Undertake Environmental 14001 Compliance Audits and inspections at company and customer premises.
3. Own, manage, and continuously improve the Company's Considerate Construction Scheme membership.
4. Support continued compliance with all relevant internal processes, procedures, schemes, and regulatory standards.
5. Own, manage, and improve the Company's ISO14001:2015 Management System.
6. Contribute to developing an effective audit and inspection programme.
7. Monitor environmental legislation changes and embed them into the organization promptly.
8. Maintain, develop, and implement standard operating processes and procedures.
9. Develop and deliver waste training for service engineers and support waste documentation.
10. Investigate environmental non-conformities/non-compliance issues, identify root causes, and develop corrective actions.
11. Liaise with Third Party Certification Bodies and support environmental audits.
12. Act as the Company's waste champion, capturing legislative changes and improving recycling rates and waste transparency.
13. Assist in investigating, resolving, and reporting significant customer complaints, incidents, and near misses.

What we will need from you

1. Qualified in an environmental discipline (e.g., NEBOSH, HND, Degree), with a focus on waste management.
2. Experience in the construction industry across multiple sites (desirable).
3. Experience with The Considerate Construction Scheme (desirable).
4. Proven experience with ISO14001:2015 Management Systems.
5. Experience managing and conducting internal and third-party environmental audits.
6. Excellent communication skills, both written and face-to-face.
7. Ability to produce accurate and timely reports.
8. Positive problem-solving approach.
9. Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
10. Professional conduct and positive representation of the company.
11. Full, clean driving license and willingness to travel between London and Manchester.
