The Role

As a Technical Solar Design Lead, you will manage end-to-end solar system design, including site surveys, system schematics, and product recommendations, supporting our growth and commitment to high-quality, sustainable energy solutions.

Responsibilities include:

1. Designing compliant solar systems and integrating products.
2. Working with architectural drawings and manufacturer tools for framing system design.
3. Providing technical support to sales and project teams.
4. Performing electrical calculations and liaising with manufacturers.
5. Using data to size systems and batteries accurately.
6. Monitoring system performance and coordinating with manufacturers.
7. Managing grid compliance submissions and applications.
8. Ensuring adherence to MCS and other standards.
9. Utilizing design software and CAD tools for system layouts.
10. Engaging with customers and updating CRM systems.

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of renewable energy products and systems.
• Familiarity with roof structures and mounting systems.
• Ability to interpret architectural drawings and use CAD.
• Electrical principles knowledge, including protections and cable sizing.
• Data analysis skills for system optimization.
• Understanding of industry compliance standards.
• Attention to detail and software proficiency.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proactive mindset and willingness to learn.
