  • We have 2 urgent contract vacancies for Wind Turbine Service Technicians to work as part of our client's Northern European onshore wind service team on their sites in South Wales. The Service Technicians shall mainly perform maintenance activities on a dedicated service area and support other areas as needed. The work will include general, as well as specialised work together with the local teams in this service region.

    Key accountabilities
    Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance according to manuals and regulations
    Autonomously do simple repairs of turbines, troubleshooting and fault finding
    Carry out complex repair-processes in collaboration with the local technical support and lead technician. Preparation work for all maintenance activities
    Perform all work with high quality and HSE focus
    Daily & weekly PPE checks
    Site housekeeping
    Reporting accurately and in due time: Safety observations, ADM, timekeeping, maintenance, repairs and SAP MI
    Check inventory of spare parts stock and be responsible for material on site

    Career / Job experience
    Previous vocational experience within a Maintenance role is required.
    Wind Industry work experience is essential
    Torque Tool & Hydraulic tool training & work experience
    Basic H&S knowledge and ability to develop further in this area
    Basic IT knowledge

    Education and qualification
    Ideal candidates will have Mechanical or Electrical engineering qualifications.
    In date GWO Training certificates required - Working at Height, Manual Handling, Fire Safety, First Aid
    Current medical including drug & alcohol testing will be required
    Full clean Driving License is necessary
    Ideal candidates will have Slinger Banksman training & a CSCS card

    Due to service contracts it is preferable that interested candidates live within an hour of Bridgend. We can however provide accommodation for suitable candidates based further afield

    The duration is expected to run through until at least the end of September
