Environmental, Health & Safety Manager

Location: Ramsgate

Position type: Full time/Permanent

We're looking for an experienced EHS Manager to join the team in Ramsgate. This is a hands-on role where you'll take the lead on all aspects of environment, health and safety across the site.

What you'll be doing:

• Make sure we're fully compliant with UK HSE legislation and environmental regs
• Keep up to date with ISO standards and manage audits and inspections
• Carry out risk assessments, hazard analyses and implement control measures
• Lead incident investigations and follow up on corrective actions
• Develop and update EHS policies and procedures, making sure everyone understands them
• Deliver or organise EHS training for staff and contractors, plus run toolbox talks and inductions
• Track and report EHS performance, record incidents and use data to drive improvements
• Carry out site inspections and safety audits, working closely with the engineering team to design for safety and sustainability
• Oversee waste disposal, pollution control, resource conservation and carbon footprint reduction
• Manage health surveillance, monitor for early signs of work-related ill health and keep COSHH up to date

What we're looking for:

• Solid EHS management experience, ideally in manufacturing, engineering or construction
• Strong knowledge of UK health, safety and environmental legislation
• Comfortable managing audits and working with ISO standards
• NEBOSH Diploma or similar qualification
• Confident communicator who can build good working relationships across all levels
