Application Engineer - Solar Milton Keynes (or remote) £42,000 - £45,000 + excellent benefits Introduction Astute are very proudly and exclusively partnered with a leading solar inverter manufacturer who are looking for an Application Engineer / Sales Engineer / Design Engineer to join their team in the new year. The Application Engineer will mainly support and advise customers on their asset design as well as supporting the internal sales team with technical and product advice and knowledge. Roles & Responsibilities Reporting to the Head of Sales you will be responsible for: Providing high-level technical support to customers and the client's Distribution Partners Assisting the Sales Team with solar and storage projects in the residential, commercial and utility side of the solar sector Supporting the Sales Team with utility-scale solar and storage project enquiries - including plant design optimization, MV and grid connection requirements Coordinating with the Product Managers and grid regulation bodies to ensure that all product certification requirements are provided ahead of time Supporting sales & marketing teams in activities such as product launches, exhibitions, roadshows, product positioning, expert talks, tech-tips etc Performing in-house and external training courses for customers and employees as well as on-site at the customer training facilities Develops training material content in line with current market requirements and technical trends Develops and implements comprehensive content plans and strategic training schedules Other duties as required Skills & Qualifications We are looking for someone with the following: Higher education in Electrical Engineering, ideally degree qualified At least 3 years working in a technical, design-biased environment Experience working in the solar sector and competent in using PVSyst, PVSol etc Willingness to travel on occasion Salary & Package What's on offer for this exciting role: Salary of £42,000 - £45,000 DOE Private medical insurance Life Insurance Discount schemes 28 days holiday plus Bank Holidays How to apply?
